We just race Karts, (my son ), is a budget most folks can afford, & is a great way for a father/son to spend time together.īut guess what, money buys wins in that sport too. Or if oval track racing get to race the entire event if you don't break.

I believe the number that was out there was $192,000. There is a john deere that pulls with the Badger State Tractor Pullers that was bought turn key ready last year. I quit pulling in 83 or so because it went this route, NASCAR of tractors. Yeah i went to the t s performance diesel days in bowlinggreen ky ,loved it and thought i would like to build a pro stock diesel truck ,thought wrong. I am not complaining I am thankfull someone out there does this so I can pay $20 once a year to see it at the local pull. It makes me wonder what I am doing wrong in life because a toy like that would sink me lol. What is they pay out, and remember there is only one winner! I look at the numbers posted above and I just cannot fathom spending that on a pulling tractor, they amount those guys spend on interest cost weather they supply the funds themselfs or borrow it is astronomical. What is the incintive for spending all this $, I like going to tractor pulls as much as ayone elce but holley good grief 100K just so you get to drive around the midwest every weekend and go down a track maybe twice or three times. All the restrictions in Stock meant you had to buy new and then prepare to the limits of the rules, whereas the less restrictive SP rules allowed a car to remain competitive over time. It easily cost twice as much to run a competitive Stock class care then one in Street Prepared, the next class up. Saw the same thing when we were autocrossing. So I am guessing that if you bought one and had to pay for time $175000 would not do it. I am guessing from what he told me it's around $75000 but he owns a fabrication shop and built every bid of. you can build a top of the line super for less.īack in the mid 70's when NTPA sanctioned the Pro class, an old pulling buddy made the comment that "if you want to see the boys spend money, put some limitation rules on the classes". but you couldn't build one for that, I think Pro Stock is the best of the "tractor block" classes.but also the most expensive.
